Spring comes slowly
Spring is slow to arrive in northern New England. Morning walks still require a warm jacket, which I find preferable to mosquitoes. As the birds return, adding their voices to the chorus, April’s brown slowly changes to May’s green, and I’m feeling the renewed energy the change of season brings.
Musical Memory Lane
The prompt: Tell me about a song that brings back an interesting memory from your youth. One song?!?!? Time for a trip down Musical Memory Lane…
Have you ever heard of Storyworth? Me neither—that is, until my daughter gifted Greg and me with a subscription. A weekly prompt for writing and photos, all printed and bound at year’s end. My first prompt—Simple Pleasures. What simple pleasures do you enjoy most?
March is sweet (it’s all about maple)
March is sweet in Vermont. Morning walks are brisk, snow covers the ground, and the air is filled with the smoky-sweet scent of of maple.
I should have known—really, I should have. January This and That
Welp – January whizzed by. I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am. How quickly time passes by… It’s been one of those months – a little of this and a lot of that.
It’s a good day to have a good day
It’s the new year – time to set goals and resolutions – except I’m not. At the end of 2021 I met a major milestone – a goal I had set for myself – and… huh… I’m thinking for 2022 I’ll focus less on the destination and more on the adventure. It’s a good day to have a good day.
